Scott Anthony Maynard, 53, of Lorado, joined his loved ones in Heaven on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at
He was born on February 15, 1966, at Logan, the son of Barbara Ellen Wooten Maynard Neace of Kistler and the late Roy Maynard.
Those gathered at Heaven’s gate to greet him, in addition to his father, were his step-father, James Neace; one sister, Brookie Adkins and her husband, Wallace; two brothers, Roy Lee “June” Maynard and Wade Maynard and his wife, Teena; brothers-in-law, Jack Ferrell, Ken Morgan, and Charlie Burgess; and several nieces and nephews.
Scott was a bull dozer operator who worked for Stollings Trucking for many years. He also worked for Superior Mining at Omar until he became disabled. Scott enjoyed life, especially hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his companion and mother of his children, Jennifer Dingess-Maynard; two daughters, Tiffany Lynn Maynard and her fiance, Stephen McQueen, of Columbus, OH and Haylee Marie Maynard at home; three sons, Scott Anthony Maynard, Jr. and Shawn Michael Maynard, both of Forest City, NC, and Ethan Dale Maynard at home; his mother, Barbara Ellen Wooten Maynard Neace of Kistler; three sisters, Rose Morgan of Kistler, Martha Burgess of Blair, and Lottie (Walter) McQuithy of Landville; four brothers, Richard (Connie) Maynard of Brecksville, OH, Thomas (Becky) Maynard of Man, Henry Maynard of Lorado, and Frank (Cindy) Maynard of Kistler; four grandchildren, Braxton, Braiden, and Brendan McQueen, and Hayden Maynard; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
