Rocky Graham

Of Amherstdale, WV

   Rocky Graham, 60, of Amherstdale, departed this life on January 3, 2019, at his residence, after an extended illness.

   He was born September 10, 1958, at Logan, a son of Dorothy Roberts Graham Curtis of Beckley and the late Bobby Ray Graham.

   In addition to his father, Rocky was preceded in death by his grandparents, Webster and Corby Graham and George and Avie Roberts.

   Rocky was a 1976 graduate of Man High School where he played Hillbilly Football.  He worked in and around the coal industry until he became disabled.  Rocky loved his dog, Bear, and West Virginia University Football.

   Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Vickie Graham; his mother, Dorothy (Rev. Glen) Curtis of Beckley; two step-daughters, Stephanie (Eric) Stanley of Teays Valley and Amber Lee (Alan) Lester of Robinette; one grandson, Liam Lester; one half brother, Greg (Stacey) Atkins of Beckley; two nieces, Abby Atkins of Accoville and Charlie Atkins of Beckley; a special aunt, Shirley (Charles) Santrock of Huff Creek; and special in-laws, Carol and Ronnie Hoosier of Amherstdale; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

   A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the Man Church of God at Man with Rev. Herbie Pruitt officiating. 

   In honor of Rocky’s wishes his remains have been cremated and will be buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
