Lillian “Litty” Ellis
Of
Lillian “Litty” Ellis, 83, of Gilbert, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at
Litty was born on October 8, 1935, at Man, a daughter of the late Golzy and Lula Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald L. Ellis; one sister, Imogene Bailey; and two brothers, Everette Smith and Kelly Edward “Bud” Smith.
Litty loved shopping, watching her favorite soap opera, drinking morning coffee with her devoted sons, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her punctuality, her spunk, and her stylish hats.
As her legacy, she leaves two sons, Donnie (Robin) Ellis and Terry (Christine) Ellis; a special daughter, Debbie Ellis(Eric Dwire); nine grandchildren, Shanda (Nick) Bishop, Summer (DK) Williamson, Leah (Mike) Ferrell, Brittany (Boo) Hager, Cortney (Caleb) Cline, Nathaniel Ellis, Hailey Harmon, Peyton Harmon, and Hunter Preast; 14 great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Austin, Brayden, Preston, Hayden, Reese, Whitlee, Cruz, Kash, Kaycee, Kinlee, Ireland, Isla, and a great-grandson due to arrive in March, Aspen. She also leaves to cherish her memory a close family friend, Tamie; life long best friends, Penny and Carol; Kelly Edward Smith an important substitute brother who lovingly referred to her as "Sissy"; a host of nieces and nephews; and her stray fur babies, Butter, Pookie, Sammi, Ellie, Blackie, Littlen, and Lady.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at
A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Gary Browning officiating. Burial will follow in
She will be carried to her final resting place by her grandsons.
In honor of Litty’s love and compassion for animals, the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite animal shelter.
