Christine Brumfield, 93, of Lorado, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, June 23, 2018, leaving from her residence, after a long illness.
She was born March 24, 1925, a daughter of the late
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Brumfield; two sons, Roger Glen Brumfield and Terry Ray Brumfield; two sisters, Patty Lou Wyatt and Lila Lee “Tincy” Spurlock; one brother, William D. Wyatt.
Christine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, and crocheting. Devoted to her family, she loved spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Dreama Harris of Gallatin, TN, Betty Hicks Spears of Davin, Jimmy Dale (Charlene) Brumfield of Lorado, and Debra (Norman “Wooda”) Vance of Glade Hill, VA; a special daughter-in-law, Tammy Brumfield (Robert) Humphries of SC; 11 grandchildren, Jamie Hicks and Beth Pierson, Bobby and Jessica Hicks, Wendy and Dean Cook, Amie and Jerry Copley, Jimmy and Rebecca Meade Brumfield, Terry “Spanky” and Tanya Brumfield; Chad and Tabitha Brumfield, Michael and Stephanie Harris, Roy “Marty” and Paula Harris, Tony and Stephanie Vance, and Joshua and Hannah Vance; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. P.J. Tomblin and Brother Paul Vance officiating. Burial will follow in
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pall bearers will be Kyle Michael Harris, Dean Cook, James Evans, and Paul Vance.
