Obituary of Thomas Ray Robinette

Thomas Ray Robinette Of Man, WV Thomas Ray "Tommy" Robinette, 62, of Man, went home to be with Jesus, Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, following an extended illness. He was born May 12, 1951, at Welch, the son of Kathleen Stacy Robinette and the late Cleve Robinette. In addition to his father, he was preceded by his only son, Jeffery Thomas Robinette; and two brothers, Terry and Jerry Dale Robinette. Tommy was a member of St. Edmund Catholic Church at Man and enjoyed being able to help assist at the church doing odd jobs when he was able. He had retired from the coal mines after 28 years, most recently having worked at Stone Branch at Elk Creek. Tommy loved being at home with his wife and their dog, Maddie, however his greatest joy was his granddaughter, Morgan, who could always bring a smile to his face. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ahmed, Jamie, Regena, and his CCU nurses for their special attention and care during Tommy's illness. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie Cline Robinette; his precious granddaughter, Morgan Elise Robinette of Beckley; his daughter-in-law, Kelli Robinette of Beckley; his mother, Kathleen Robinette of Man; four brothers, Joe Robinette of Sterling, VA, Ronnie Robinette of Logan, and Larry Robinette and Randall Robinette, both of Man; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may celebrate Tommy's life with his family on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014, at St. Edmund Catholic Church at Man with Father David Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Edmund Catholic Church Building Fund, 106 North Bridge St., Man, WV 25635. Pall bearers will be Bill Cline, Eddie Ferrell, Carl Hutchens, Joe Robinette, Ronnie Robinette, and Tim Sias. Honorary pallbearers will be Ballard Walls, Terry Harvey, Brent Ferrell, Louie Grimmett, Evan Riggins, Jacob Riggins, Terry Riggins, Tyler Riggins, Mike Stephens, Sr., Mikey Stephens, Harry Bailey, Buck Wright, and the men of St. Edmund Catholic Church.
