Obituary of Eleanor Jean Browning

Eleanor Jean Browning Of Man, WV Eleanor Jean Frazier Browning, 77, of Man, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 17, 2014, from her residence, after a long illness. She was born on December 31, 1936, at Davin, the daughter of the late James and America Robertson Frazier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Browning; one daughter, Dawn Renee Browning; one grandson, Benjamin Jon Gent; one great-grandson, Gabriel Webb; and three sisters, Betty Manning, JoAnn Ward, and Lillian Adkins. Eleanor was a home maker and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, working puzzle books, and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are five children, Elizabeth Gent and her companion, Eddie Godfrey, of Robinette, Benjamin Browning of Man, Kimberly (Jimmy) Walls of Kistler, Michael (Melissa) Browning of Accoville, and Teresa (Cleveland) Ramey of Switzer; one sister, Donna Cooper of Vance's Hollow; two brothers, Vernon Frazier of Riddles Branch and Rev. Jimmy (Joyce) Frazier of Cooks Addition; 13 grandchildren, Zackery Gent, Dakota Edward Browning, Tiffany Browning and her companion, Steven Whitt, Brittany Browning, Sosha (Adam) Morgan, Courtney (Patrick) Trent, Brianna Browning, Michael Browning, William (Donna) Hammonds, Ronnie Hammonds, Clevina (Timmy) Hackney, Stevina (Brian) Workman, and Sandra (Randall) Nelson; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the Kistler Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Hawkins officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services. In honor of Eleanor's request, her remains will be cremated.
