Of Man, WV
Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Cook Toler, 53, of Man, went to be with the Lord and her loving husband, Mitch, on Saturday, June 1, 2013, from CAMC-General Division, after a long illness.
She was born August 9, 1959, at Man the daughter of Harold Dean (Chris) Cook, Sr. of Harts and the late Tina Mae "Tiny" Cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mitchell "Mitch" Toler; her grandparents, Clyde and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Osborne Gibson and Eual and Katherine Marrs Cook.
Libby was a former cook at Logan Regional Medical Center. She had been a volunteer fire fighter for Logan County Station 200 for 15 years and the Town of Man Fire Department for 13 years. Libby was a 1978 graduate of Man High School. She was a member of the Davin Baptist Church. A devoted mother, Libby was a former Girl Scout leader and a former life guard at Man Pool for 10 years. She loved going to church and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her father and step-mother, are one daughter, Brandy Mae (Andy) Williams of Logan; one son, Eddie (Jami) Charles of Man; two brothers, Harold Dean (Wendy) Cook, Jr. of Chapmanville and Ty (Amy) Cook of Davin; two grandchildren, James Edward Charles and Joci Stevenson; a special niece who Libby loved as a granddaughter, Baylee Jo Cook of Davin; her nieces, Lindsey (Anthony) Stollings of Logan and Carley Cook of Chapmanville; her nephew, Bobby Dean (Erica) Cook of Chapmanville; one great-nephew, Robert Dean Cook, II of Chapmanville; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Davin Baptist Church at Davin with Rev. Johnny Hatfield and Brother Popeye Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Davin Baptist Church and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be Eddie Charles, Britt Gibson, Ty Cook, Andy Williams, Dean Cook, and Bobby Dean Cook.
Honorary pall bearers will be James Edward Charles, Bobby Hall, John White II, and John Steven Toler.
