Ralph Everett Gibson
Of Man, WV
Ralph Everett Gibson, 72, of Man, joined his wife, Brenda, in their Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, leaving from St. Mary's Hospital at Huntington after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born June 14, 1940, at Man, the son of the late Everett Sr. and Freda Aileen Burton Gibson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kay Scott Gibson; one son, Ralph Todd Gibson; and three brothers, Carlos Neal Gibson, Frederick Wesley "Freddy" Gibson, and Ricky Lynn Gibson.
Ralph was the 2nd Shift Mine Foreman at Argus Energy's Number 7 Mine at Twelve Pole for the last 12 years. He was a dedicated worker and a valued employee. Ralph was a member of the Accoville United Methodist Church. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Devoted to his family, Ralph loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Timothy Scott Gibson of Man; two brothers, Ronnie (Linda) Gibson of Man and Everett "Poochie" (Judy) Gibson of Greenvalley; two sisters, Lorene "Lou" (Bob) Ellis of Kistler and Regina Sue (Gene) Rankin of South Point, OH; three grandchildren, Baylee Gibson, Harlie Gibson, both of Man, and Taylor Gibson of Huntington; several beloved nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Accoville United Methodist Church at Accoville with Rev. Norman Harvey and Brother Richard Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Accoville United Methodist Church.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
