Martha Elizabeth Gullett
Of Crown, WV
Martha Elizabeth "Betty" Gullett, 72, of Crown, departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2013, from Logan Center where she was rehabilitating from a stroke.
She was born October 30, 1940, at Lorado, the daughter of the late Frank Lee and Nancy Huffman Workman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Gullett; one daughter, Ella Jean "Sally" Gullett; three sons, Gary Edward Gullett, Larry Allen Gullett, and Arnold William Gullett; three sisters, Dolly Osborne, Helen Gibson, and Mary Earnest; four brothers, Ernest Workman, Glen Workman, Donald Workman, and Homer Patrick Workman and his wife, Deea Compton Workman; and one brother-in-law, Jason Bailey.
She was a home maker who was devoted to her family. Betty enjoyed calling and checking on her family and friends and going to church with her son Billy.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Terry Gullett and Billy Gullett, both of Crown; one daughter, Kathryn Gullett and her fiancé, Charles Long, of Nitro; one special grandson that she raised, Jonathan Gullett of Huntington; grandchildren, Josh Webb of TN, Misty Workman of Beckley, Jamie New of Accoville, and Shana Copley of Crown; one sister, Jean Bailey of Cyclone; two brothers, Franklin "June Bug" (Joyce) Workman of Glen Daniels and Gordon (Rachel) Workman of Cyclone; a special neighbor, J.D. Walls of Crown; a special niece, Kathy Duncan of NC; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Freddie Clay. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
