She was born February 15, 1927, at Low Ash, the daughter of the late Gabriel and Dolly Mae Walker Smoot.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Lee Justice, Sr.; one son, Billy Joe Justice; six sisters, Vinia White, Linna Parsons, Velma Hamb, Pearl Reeves, Ada "Anna" Ruth Kretzer, and Stella Fields; and two brothers, Harley Smoot and Eugene Smoot.
Launa was the former co-owner and operator of the Justice Restaurant at Man and the former operator of the Tastee Burger at Gilman Bottom for several years. She worked in the Circulation Department at the Logan Banner for 19 years. A devout Christian, Launa enjoyed worshiping at various churches. She loved flower gardening and feeding and watching the humming birds. Never having met a stranger, she greeted everyone with a big friendly smile. Launa will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
