Rev. Robert Lee Lusk
Of Lorado, WV
Rev. Robert Lee Lusk, 77, of Lorado, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born December 28, 1934, at Lorado, the son of the late Guy and Addie Osborne Lusk.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Bobbi Lusk; one son, Billy Lusk; one brother, Roy Lusk; two half-sisters, Maggie Miller and Jenny Workman; and two half-brothers, Junior Crouse and Billy Lusk.
He was a disabled railroad worker who had previously worked as a timber cutter and a highway construction worker on Rt. 99 and Rt. 85. Rev. Robert was a Christian for over 64 years and had served the Lord as a minister for 64 years. He was a member of God's Lighthouse Community Church at Curtis, where he served as the assistant pastor for the last 18 years. When he was able, Rev. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Belva Osborne Lusk of Lorado; four daughters, Wanda Lusk of McArthur, OH, Naomi Lusk and her husband, Paul, and April Albright and her husband, Terry, all of Lorado, and Mable Lusk at home; four sons, Robert Lusk of McArthur, OH, Ronald Lusk of Charleston, Travis Lusk of OH, and Bobby Lusk, Jr. of Accoville; four brothers, Johnny Lusk of Chicago, IL, Russell Lusk of Columbus, OH, and Lawrence Lusk and Phillip Crouse, both of Boone County; and nine grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the God's Lighthouse Community Church at Curtis with Rev. David Gibson and Rev. Bennie Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Daniels Cemetery at Curtis.
Visitation will be held from 6-10 p.m. Tuesday and from 5-10 p.m. Wednesday at the God's Lighthouse Community Church where a church service will begin both nights at 7 p.m. Friends may also call starting at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Pall bearers will be friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
