Obituary of Howard G. Osborne

Howard G. Osborne, 80, of Lorado, departed this life Friday, March 9, 2012, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 27, 1931 in Wayne County, the son of the late Dewey and Minnie Griffin Osborne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Gorman D. Osborne; and two sisters, Edith Marie Vance and Helen Lusk.
Howard was a retired coal miner with 44 years of service, formerly employed with Amherst Coal Company. He was a member of the UMWA District 17 and was a veteran of the Korean War. Howard never met a stanger and he considered it an honor to have known the people that he knew. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish him memory are his beloved wife, Ida Osborne; six children, James W. Osborne and his wife, Vickie, of Lorado, Gleena F. Williamson and her husband, Michael, of New Lexington, Ohio, Sabrina K. Booth and her husband, Woodrow, of Lorado, Brenda G. Campbell and her husband, Robbie, of Nitro, Tammy R. Davis and her husband, Kenneth, Of Hurricane, and Howard G. Osborne, II and his wife, Amy, of Los Lunas, New Mexico; two brothers, Dewey Osborne and his wife, Shirley, of Lundale, and Fred Osborne and his wife, Ellen, of Huff Creek; four sisters, Gayla Clark and her husband, Tommy, of Kistler, Deloris Cantrell of Morrisburg, Tennesse, Joyce Lowe and her husband, Donald, of Brooklyn, Ohio, and Cynthia Melbeck of Texas; 13 grand children; 13 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to send a sincere thank you to Howard's lifelong friend, Virgil Hicks.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man. Private burial will follow at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
