Of Man, WV
Cecil William Banks, 47, of Man, departed this life Friday, February 17, 2012, at Huntington, after a short illness.
He was born June 25, 1964, at Columbus, OH, the son of the late Hubert and Reba Collins Banks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Banks; his maternal grandparents, William and Cleo Roseberry Collins; and his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Dora Harless Banks.
He was a disabled coal miner formerly employed with Logan County Mine Service. Cecil enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish his memory are one sister, Brenda (Bobby) Burt of Davin; three nieces, Dora Lester of Man, Bobbi Jean (James) Paynter of Mallory, and Amber Banks of Logan; one nephew, Nicholas Banks of Chapmanville; two great nieces, Hannah Lester of Davin and Madison Paynter of Mallory; two great-nephews, Christian Lester and Carey Lester, both of Davin; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Roger Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
