Helen Podunavac Wilburn
Of Robinette, WV
Helen Podunavac Wilburn, 73, of Robinette, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011, at Saint Francis Hospital.
She was born December 29, 1937, at Earling, a daughter of the late Mike and Hurl McNeely Podunavac.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles "Nub" Wilburn; three sisters, Gladys Marie Podunavac, Mary Belle Podunavac, and Anna Lyons; and four brothers, Willie, Roy, Nick, and Donald.
Helen was a faithful member of the Robinette Church of God, where she sang in the choir and was very active in their Ladies Aid.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Becky (Robert) Bevins of Robinett, Karen (Bill) Wooten of Wilkinson, and Tammy (Mark) Davis of Phico; six grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Adkins and Candi (Jack) McDaniels, all of Accoville, Bill Wooten of Teays Valley, Lesley Wooten of South Charleston, and Mark and Chuckie Davis of Phico; and four great-grandchildren, Christian and Chase Adkins and L J and Ryder McDaniels, all of Accoville; one sister, Julia Armstrong of Logan; four brothers, Ray, Steve (Bonnie), and Harlan (Joan) Podunavac, all of Logan; and Louie (Joyce) Podunavac of Ashland, KY; and one very special niece, Priscilla "Cricket" (Billy Paul) Vanover of Davin; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Robinette Church of God with Rev. Albert Cline and Rev. Michael VanNatter officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be members of her family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
