Samuel R. Baker
Of Kistler, WV
Samuel Ralph Baker, 48, of Kistler, departed this life Monday, December 5, 2011, at his home.
He was born August 17, 1963, in Logan County, the son of Imajean Clay Baker of Logan and the late Ralph O. Baker.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Tilden Clay and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Baker; and several aunts and uncles.
He was a retired restaurant worker. Sam enjoyed watching wrestling, walking, and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are four siblings, Millie (Danny) Dean of Crown, Jimmy (Judy) Baker of Lorain, OH, Roberta Kennedy of Morristown, TN, and David O. (Donetta) Baker of Davin; several aunts and uncles; a very special friend and aunt, Yvonne Clay of Crown; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a special friend, Rev. Linzel Walls of Kistler along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011, at the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church at Amherstdale with Rev. Freddie Clay officiating.
At his request the remains have been cremated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
