Obituary of Randy Collins

Randy Collins, 50, of Davin, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at home. He was born June 12, 1961 at Man, a son of Clinton D. and Willa Jean Elliott Collins of Davin. Randy was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Howard and Nellie Elliott; and his paternal grandparents, Sam and Margaret Collins. Randy was a Barber in the Man and Davin areas for 25 years. He was a certified pilot, scuba diver, and an avid motorcyclist and guitar player. He was a great friend with a wonderful sense of humor who never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Sarah Paige Collins of Davin; one son, Dustin Scott Collins of Davin; one sister, Angie Collins (Roger) Muncy of Man; two brothers, Eddie (Vicki) Collins of Huddleston, VA and Timmy Collins of Davin; nieces and nephews, Abbie Woods Hatfield, Samuel Collins, Nellie Collins, Josh Collins, Jeremy Collins, and Zach West; and great-nieces and nephews, Kalilla Collins and Mack Collins; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Sherman Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow in Saunders Cemetery at Ranger. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
