Obituary of Vada G. Wilson

Vada G. Wilson Of Man, WV Vada G. Wilson, 83, departed from her home in Man to join her husband in their heavenly home on Friday, October 14, 2011. She was born December 12, 1927, in Martin County, KY, the daughter of the late Bennie and Evelyn Ward Jude. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Wilson; one sister, Delphia Miller; and one brother, "Floyd" Junior Jude. Vada was a retired cook formerly employed with Man Appalachian Regional Hospital for nearly 30 years. She attended Man Church of the Nazarene. Vada enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. Devoted to her family, she loved spending time with them and her beloved canine companion, Lucy. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Barbara (Thomas) Jeffrey of Man and Kaye Grimmett of Proctorville, OH; two grandchildren, Gary Jeffrey of Bluefield and Wilson Tyler Grimmett of Proctorville, OH; one great-grandson, Brody Dawson of Bluefield; five sisters, Ada Wendell of Charleston, Geneva Collins of CA, Doris (Jack) Waldron of TN, Elsie Ehling of CA, and Mary Ann (Rev. Bill) Flannery of Chesapeake, OH; her brother-in-law, Harrison Miller of Davin; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011, at the Man Church of the Nazarene at Man with Rev. James Kittle and Rev. Brian Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at the church.
