Of Man, WV
Lola Kilgore Miller, 89, of Man, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at her residence surrounded by family and friends.
She was born January 26, 1922 at Branchland, a daughter of the late Harry C. and Adeline Adkins Kilgore.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Bruce Miller; one sister, Bertha Esque; four brothers, Carl Kilgore, Kermit Kilgore, Wilford Kilgore, and Wetzel Kilgore; and one nephew, Clarence Kilgore.
Lola was the owner and operator of The Center for fifty years. She was known for the best hotdogs in town, having sold more than two million hotdogs during her fifty year career. Lola was of the Christian faith and when able she attended the Nazarene Church at Man.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Bruce P. Miller, Jr. of Mt. Hope and Denny Miller and his wife Katherine Williamson-Miller of Man; one niece, Beulah Kilgore-Chapman and her husband Harold of Chicago, IL; one nephew, James Kilgore and his wife Helen of Davin; Four granddaughters, Kimberly (Greg) Semple of Fayetteville, Lynn (Ron) George of Fayetteville, Katherine Denise (Chris) White of Danville, and Tracie (Mike) Kitchen Priestly Ridge; seven great grandchildren, Meredith Thomas, Bethany George, Zachary and Cassie Semple, Hunter and Halee White, and Rylee Kitchen, and one great-great grandchild, Amy Leigh Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Ronald George, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
