Carla Ra’nae Bias
Of Hunt, WV
Carla Ra’nae Bias, 45, of Hunt, departed this life Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at her residence, after a sudden illness.
She was born January 26, 1966, at Point Pleasant, a daughter of Beulah Mae Mullins Lawson and the late Paul Brooks Zahrndt.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charley and Ivy Trent Mullins and Emory and Margaret Stevens Lawson; and her brother, Joey Jay Zahrndt.
Carla was a former office manager at Center Coal Company at Welch. She loved to sing and enjoyed playing cards. Carla was a wonderful daughter, a loving sister and mother.
Those left to miss her, in addition to her mother, are one son, Andrew Bias III of Hunt; her daddy who reared her, Edward “Troy” Lawson of Lavalette; three brothers, Todd (Samantha) Lawson of Hunt, Troy (Amy Johnson) Lawson of Belle, and Michael Evans of Huntington; one sister, Kimberly Jo (Gary) Lambert of Huntington; a special friend, David Wyatt of Taplin; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Hunt Baptist Tabernacle at Hunt with Rev. Charles Caserta and Rev. Donald Ellis officiating. Special singing will be provided by Drema Toler. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday at the Hunt Baptist Tabernacle.
Pall bearers will be Michael Evans, C.J. Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Gary Lambert, David Wyatt, and Troy Lawson.
