Of Greenvalley, WV
Billy Gene Wiley, 54, of Greenvalley, joined his parents in heaven Thursday, January 13, 2011, from Select Specialty Hospital at Charleston, after an extended illness.
He was born December 22, 1956, at Amherstdale, a son of the late Carlos and Minnie Porter Wiley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ervin and Betty Porter; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Nola Baisden Wiley; two brothers, Carlos Wiley Jr. and James Allen Wiley; one sister, Roberta Donnelly; and several nieces and nephews.
Billy was a disabled carpenter and was of the Church of God faith. When he was physically able he loved to hunt, fish, and 4-wheel.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shari Carter Wiley of Kistler; one son, Billy Wiley Jr. of Greenvalley; one daughter, Amanda Wiley of Kistler; five sisters, Helen Tabor of West Hamlin, Shirley Browning and Viola (Paul) Tipton, both of NC, Rose Mary (Darrell) Brown of Greenvalley, and Vanessa Smith of Logan; one brother, Kenneth (Marilyn) Wiley of Man; special friends, Timbo and Dreama Franklin of Kistler and Sheldon and Amy Ellis of Mallory; and many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will commence at 12 Noon Monday, January 17, 2011, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Richard Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
