Obituary of Ernestine Bare McQuithy

Ernestine McQuithy Of Crown, WV Ernestine “Teenie” Bare McQuithy, 78, of Crown joined her beloved husband and son in heaven on Thursday, November 25, 2010. She departed this life with her children at her bedside from Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was born October 9, 1932, at Braeholm, a daughter of the late Walter and Stella Imes Bare. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie G. “Bill” McQuithy; one son, Willie McQuithy Jr.; three sisters; and two brothers. Teenie was a homemaker and was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Walter (Lottie) McQuithy of Landville, Peggy (Henry) Maynard of Lorado, Stella (Flavel) Workman of Dingess, Sharon (Robert Burgess) McQuithy of Accoville, Regina (Lewis) Ellis of Lorado, Patricia (Darrell) Blair of Accoville, Nina McQuithy of Accoville, and Linda McQuithy of Taplin; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Freda Cyrus of Alkol and Wilma Moore of VA; many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will commence at 1 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Freddie Clay officiating. Burial will follow in the Christian Community Cemetery at Christian. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services.
