Obituary of Dica M. Osborne

Dica M. Osborne Of Lundale, WV Dica M. Osborne, 86, of Lundale, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, August 31, 2010, from CAMC-General Division at Charleston, after a short illness. She was born October 25, 1923, at Bald Knob, a daughter of the late Rev. Herbert and Martha Magdalene Peters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Rev. Alda Osborne; and several brothers and sisters. She was a home maker. Dica was a Christian who loved to attend various area churches. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and a friend to all. Those left to cherish her memory include ten children, Bertha Brinegar of Lorado, Birdie (Ted) Floyd of Delbarton, Henry (Mary) Osborne of Davin, Rosie Cook of Lundale with whom she made her home, Billy (Darlene) Osborne of Oceana, Larry (Kay) Osborne and Donald (Regina) Osborne, both of Lorado, Virginia “Virgie” Duncan of Man, Arnold (Misty) Osborne of Davin, and Shirley Parker of Lorado; two brothers, Rev. Robert (Pauline) Peters of Harts and Asa Peters of Mullens; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; two special friends, Kenneth Crouse and Juanita Osborne; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the Cyclone Church of God at Cyclone with Rev. Kenneth Lusk and Rev. Ronald “Nig” Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held from 6-11 p.m. Friday at the Cyclone Church of God at Cyclone and one hour prior to services.
