Obituary of Joyce Faye Perry Woolwine

Joyce Faye Perry Of Greenville, WV Joyce Faye Perry Woolwine, 67, of Greenville went to be with the Lord Friday, August 6, 2010, from the home of her son at Verner, after a long illness. She was born December 23, 1942, at Greenville, a daughter of the late Lee and Virgie Grimmette Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Sherman Crosby, Jr. Joyce was a former custodian employed with the Logan County Board of Education at South Man Grade School. She was a member of the Greenville Free Will Baptist Church at Greenville, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide. An avid gardener, Joyce loved planting and tending her flowers. Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, Lee (Monica) Perry of Three Mile Curve, Randy (Meghan) Perry of Greenville, Dale (Janet) Perry of NC, and Anthony (Valerie) Perry of Verner; three sisters, Deloris (John) Blankenship of KY, Sharon (Randy) Likens of Man, and Lana (Don Smith) Justice of Buckhannon; one brother, Tommy (Marilyn) Crosby of Kistler; ten grandchildren, Ashlie Grimmett, Bethany Grimmett, and Justin Isaacs Perry, all of Three Mile Curve, Jamie Perry Belcher of Huntington, Steven Dale Perry of TX, Carrie Perry and Amber Perry, both of NC, and Deric Perry, Destiny Workman, and Donald Perry, all of Verner; and one great-grandson, Jason Shockley of Huntington; special nieces and nephews whom she helped rear, Eric Mullins, Misty Elkins, Leann Caserta, Jessica Justice, and Crystal Justice; many other nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Charlotte Holbrook of Man and Shelia Grimmett of Greenville; along with a host of other relatives and friends. A going home service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2010, at the Greenville Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Baxter Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-11 p.m. Sunday at the Greenville Free Will Baptist Church where a service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dale Campbell officiating. Pall bearers will be family and friends. Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man is in charge of the arrangements.
