Patsy Louise Caudill
Of Taplin, WV
Patsy Louise Lucas Caudill, 64, of Taplin, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 12, 2010, from Hubbard Hospice House at Charleston, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
She was born January 22, 1946, in Logan County, a daughter of the late Grady and Isabelle Whitt Lucas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Dale Lucas.
Patsy worked as a part time sales clerk at Fashion Bug for a number of years. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith. Providing for the needy was important to Patsy and she faithfully supported the Union Mission Ministries in Charleston as well as local Women’s and Children’s Shelters. She enjoyed reading and scrap booking for her grandson, Trevor. Devoted to her family, Patsy loved spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory and miss her are her husband of 48 years, Jack Elmer Caudill of Taplin; one daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Timothy “Timmy”) Corns of Combs Addition; two grandsons, Timothy Lucas Corns and his girlfriend, Kathryn Bevins of Barboursville and Trevor Ryan Corns of Combs Addition; two aunts, Katherine Bryant of Marion, NC and Betty Robinette of Holden; Patsy’s sisters-in-law whom she felt were her sisters, Martha Robison of Holly Hills, Fredericka (Bobby Lee) Mitchell and Carol Belcher, both of Accoville; and Sandy (Dale) Lusk of Bolt; brothers-in-law whom she felt were her brothers, Charles (Patty) Caudill of Holly Hills and Jimmy Dale (Debbie) Caudill of Combs Addition; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
Donations may be sent to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311in Patsy’s memory.
Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man is in charge of the arrangements.
