I knew Jessee Wayne after he and his family moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We were close friends and neighbors for two years. We reconnected in the 1990s and it was always special to hear from him. He was great at keeping in touch with former schoolmates and I so miss his calls...Rest in Peace, dear friend.

i was a couple of years behind Jessee in high school at Western in Calgary, but became much better acquainted many years later at the 2003 WAGGLE golf tournament in Turner Valley, AB. we had long, although infrequent telephone calls after that, and i had the pleasure of visiting him in Charleston, WV in the April of 2006.. he toured me around Charleston and even drove me up to the mountain airport with all the interesting old aircraft, before treating me to brunch at IHOP.. the last time i saw him was at the 2009 alumni golf tourney, and i will miss him at the 2010 tourney.. my heartfelt condolences to all his family.. a rare and true gentleman..

LEN & LEEAN UNDERDAHL - SAN JOSE DEL CABO, BCS MEXIC - HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS posted a condolence
Tuesday, April 6, 2010
Hi!, I'm Len Underdahl, fraternity brother of Jessee's from high school days in Calgary, Alberta. The most recent time we met with Jessee was a high school reunion where we shared a few stories of the past. My wife and I have been living in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico for the past 10 years, but sister Vera Neate has kept us informed of old time mutual friends. Jessee will be missed. Heartfelt regards to his family and numerous friends.

Over the years Jessee expressed to me how proud he was of Marlene, Ryan and of late the joy of Brionne. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of need.
My sympathy to Jerry and Marilyn; Beverley and her family.
Personally, I cannot imagine no more phone calls from Jessee asking of my children and how things are with me. He was unique in keeping in touch with all and often bringing people together in many different ways. We have been pals since 16 years of age and I can only express how fortunate I was to have that. He was reminded of his youth when I visited Panama, for I met him when his family moved to Canada from Panama. Beverley, thank you for the Johnny Mazettti recipe that Jessee asked you for. I used to enjoy when his Mom made that for dinner. I understand it was a recipe from Panama.
Jesse will be so missed. I know if I am very still I shall hear from Jessee again. Maybe again and again.
Love and prayers to all family members and his many friends.
Keep the faith - as Jessee would say.
Blessings to all,
Vera (Underdahl) Neate

I'm the daughter of Vera Neate, niece of Ken Underdahl.
My mom Vera will miss her good friend Jessee very much.
She loved their chats on the phone or emails about everything and anything. I spoke with Jessee a few times on the phone and he was a very sweet man. I know mom was hoping to see everyone at the reunion in June 2010. Jessee loved his family and friends very much and he will be deeply missed.
Maybe all his high school friends can still go to the reunion to remember Jessee.

About two years ago Jesse called me. We had not spoken in more than forty years. Jessee and I grew up in Gamboa, were in Scouts, and rode the bus to school in Balboa., His call reminded me how important it is to stay in contact. We emailed and talked on the phone several times a year. My sincree sympathy goes to his family.

Though Jess was a few years younger than I, we shared our younger years together in sports, scouts, and numbers of other pastimes in The Canal Zone. My prayers are with his family and for Jessee. We are all better for having had the pleasure of his friendship.
