Theresa Ann Solomon
Of Riley Camp, WV
Theresa Ann Solomon, 68, of Riley Camp went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, January 22, 2018, leaving from Pikeville Medical Center, after a long illness.
She was born November 30, 1949, at Logan, a daughter of Mary Lowe Wooten of Riley Camp and the late Rev. Edward Wooten.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant brother; her mother-in-law, Ethel Solomon.
Theresa was a 1967 graduate of Man High School. She was a kindergarten teacher's aide who retired from the Logan County Board of Education after 30 years. During her career she helped many children start their school years at Amherstdale Grade School, Mallory Grade School, and South Man Grade School. Theresa attended Rum Junction Church of God. She enjoyed gardening of both vegetables and flowers sharing her bounty with her family and friends. Theresa loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are her husband of 50 years, Tommy Solomon; one daughter, Cindy (Terry) Bias of Mocksville, NC; one son, T.J. (Jaclyn) Solomon of Blaine, TN; her father-in-law, Marvin Solomon of Riley Camp; her sisters, Sandy (Rev. Les) Williamson of Stowe, Karen (Rev. Bernard) Cook of FL, Tammy (Mike) Doty of Crown, Kay (Johnny) Bragg of Accoville, Norma Jean (Robert) Bragg of White Sulpher Springs, and Brenda Bragg and Tonnia Bragg, both of Accoville; nine grandchildren, Kristin (Mitchell) Ellis, Briann Moreland, Nicholas (Layne) Bias, Savannah Bias, Chasity Bias, Jacob Bias, Katelyn Solomon, John Edward Thomas "Jet" Solomon, and Riley Jo Solomon; four great-grandchildren, Owen Harvey, Layla and Chandler Ellis, and Madison Jarvis; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
In honor of Theresa's wishes her remains will be cremated.
