Glennith Faye Plumley
Of Davin, WV
Glennith Faye "Granny" Plumley, 89, of Davin, joined her husband in their Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, leaving from Dignity Hospice House at Chapmanville, after a long illness.
She was born on March 23, 1928, at Sweetland, a daughter of the late Howard Ralph and Anna Mary Wade Roberts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Plumley; and one sister Evelyn Adkins and her husband, Ercyle.
Mrs Plumley was a home maker who was passionate about the care she took to make her home immaculate and welcoming. When she was able she enjoyed making her flower gardens beautiful and decorating her home at Christmas. Granny liked to crochet, embroidery, and work cross word puzzles. The true delight of her life was spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Sherry Lynn (Jerry) Toler of Davin; two grandchildren, Rhonda (Andrew) Wick and Stephanie (Duane) Lester, all of Charleston; two great-grandchildren, Jerrod and Benjamin Lester, both at home; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Granny's family wants to thank her special caregivers, Jean, Paula, Shelia, Della, Crystal, and Carol as well as the nurses and staff at Dignity Hospice and ARH Home Health.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Donald Sparks and Rev. Merle Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
