Of Accoville, WV
Margie Blevins, 93, of Accoville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 13, 2017, leaving from her home, after a long illness.
She was born on November 30, 1923, at Omaha, KY, the daughter of the late Thomas and Wyona Honeycutt Mullins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Blevins; three sons, Tommy "Biggen" Blevins, Ricky Dale Blevins and his wife, Kristine, and Bill Blevins; one daughter, Betty Anderson; one granddaughter, Haley Baisden; and her siblings, Luzona Amburgey, James Carmen Mullins, Dorothea "Dorothy" Bates, Pharoah Mullins, Willis Mullins, Ellis Mullins, Oma Sturgill, Larcene "Larcie" Adams, Maudry Marie Pigman, Lydia Irene Cook, and Geraldine King.
Margie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Crown Freewill Baptist Church. A woman of faith, Margie faithfully attended her church before her illness. After her health began to fail, she enjoyed having church in her home when her pastor, Rev. Charles Vance and her church family came to worship with her. Her strong faith in God carried her through all of life's hardships and was a constant inspiration to her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Janet (Leroy) Chapman of Man and Donetta (Bubby) Baisden of Braeholm; two sons, Jim (Gloria) Blevins of South Man and Jack "Vaughn" (Gwen) Blevins of Robinette; son-in-law, David Anderson of Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren, Donetta "Pebz" (David) Baker of Davin, Jimmy Earl Blevins, II of Sanford, NC, Michael (Laurice) Stevenson of Greenville, SC, Lisa (Chris) Chafin of South Man, Shawn Anderson of Man, T.J. (Jessica) Blevins of Robinette, Stacy (Greg) Atkins of Beckley, and Meggan Baisden of Monaville; great-grandchildren, Corey Stevenson and Casey Stevenson, both of Greenville, SC, Kristen Chafin of Morgantown, Kaden Chafin of South Man, Kylie and Caleb Blevins, both of Robinette, Charlie Atkins of Beckley, and Demi Green of Monaville; one great-great-grandchildren, Scarlett Victoria Stevenson of Greenville, SC; and her longtime caregiver, Debbie Vance Linville of Latrobe along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man, with Rev. Charles Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at God.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
