Obituary of Imajean Baker

Imajean Baker, 80, of Davin, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.
She was born on January 4, 1937, at Branchland, a daughter of the late Rev. Tilden Samuel and Millie McCoy Clay.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Baker; one son, Samuel Baker; and her siblings, Maxine Clay, Madeline (Cecil "Bob") Curry, Rev. Eugene (Darlene "Dodgie") Clay, and Archie Clay.
Imajean was a 1955 graduate of Man High School. She was a member of the Fleming Avenue Freewill Baptist Church in Lorain, OH for over 30 years. After moving back to WV she attended various churches. She enjoyed word search, gardening, turtles, watching Wheel of Fortune and playing Bingo at Logan Center. Imajean loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Millie (Dan) Dean of Accoville, Jimmy (Judy) Baker of Lorain, OH, Roberta (Brian) King of Mansfield, OH, and David (Donetta) Baker of Davin; two brothers, Rev. Freddie (Patsy) Clay of Accoville and Rev. Argie Clay of Columbus, OH; four sisters, Doris Jean (Frank) Merritt of Branchland, Anna Gay Compton of Grove City, OH, Linda (David) Wingler of Amherstdale, and Bonnie Donnelly of Amherstdale; six grandchildren, Dan Charles Dean of Accoville, Jessica (Orlando) Tackett of Shelby, OH, Rebecca (Anthony) Tackett of Mt. Gilead, OH, Amy Neace and her fiancé, Stephen Teets, and Sara Neace, all of Lorain, OH, and Zack Vince of Elyria, OH; 11 great-grandchildren, Mariah, Jacob, Alyvia, Stephen II, Travis, Orlando III, Eli, Jase, Hunter, Gage, and Bryer; a special sister-in-law, Yvonne Clay; and a special niece, Dianne Miller along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where the funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jody Brown officiating.
Her remains will be cremated and will be buried at a later date.
