Jason Rodney McNeely
Of Taplin, WV
Jason Rodney McNeely, 38, of Taplin, departed this life suddenly on May 2, 2017, in Raleigh County.
He was born on July 25, 1978, at Logan, a son of Myra Jean McNeely Ellis of Beckley.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Wanda McNeely and Jess Chambers; and his brother, Mickey McNeely.
Jason worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and 4-wheeling. Jason loved spending time with his family, especially his children.
Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, Kelly Workman and their children, Havannah McNeely and Jason Rodney McNeely, II who will arrive August 2, 2017, all of Landville; his other children who he loved dearly, Seth Whittaker of Amherstdale and Timothy McNeely of Hamlin; his mother, Myra Jean McNeely of Beckley; aunts and uncles, Scott and Anne McNeely of Willow Springs, NC with whom he often made his home, Timothy and Danita Hutchins of St. Albans, Cathy and Richard Smoot of Accoville, and Jessie McNeely of Accoville; his cousins who were raised as his siblings, Ben McNeely, Christopher Smith, Kayla Erwin, and Scott Hutchins; and several other cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends.
In honor of Jason's wishes, his remains will be cremated.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
