Worked with Ronnie at Guyan No. 1 mine for Island Creek Coal Co. with many of his friends. There was a strong bond with his coworkers there. I learned a great deal about mining while working with Ronnie, but Ab Thompson and I always called Ronnie "Brute" cause that's what Ronnie was- a brute that always took care of what needed to be done while taking care of his fellow workers. I am very fortunate to have known him and call him a true friend. RIP Brute Gibson.

This breaks my heart, I worked with Ronnie at Pen Coal/Argus. Ronnie was a Godly man that loved his family and friends. I also worked with his son Mark and my heart go's out to him and his mother and sister. May you find comfort knowing Ronnie is at rest now. Prayers for this precious family.

I have known Ronnie for only several years. I dealt with Ronnie and his brother Ralph as they where mine managers and I inspected their properties. Ronnie was the easiest manager to get alone with, he helped every one in anyway he could. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Teresa and I loved talking with him and his family. We will miss him.
