Obituary of Regina Mae Preston

Regina Mae Preston Of Columbus, OH On Thursday, March 9, 2017, after having fought a long and courageous battle with Huntington's disease, the soul of Regina Mae Preston was set free from her earthly body to instantly appear in Heaven before her Savior, Jesus Christ, in a new and perfect body! Regina was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Preston; twin sister, Betina Joe Preston; maternal grandparents, Prince and Bessie Kennedy Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Eva Mae Preston; two special uncles she loved very much, James E. "Jim" Mosley and Archie Mayo Mitchell; and a special and much loved cousin, Jimmy Jordan. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas Preston Abshire who was the "sunshine" of her life; her mother, Judy Mitchell Preston Schiff and step-father, Robert Schiff of Columbus, OH; two very special uncles, Bill W. (Brenda) Mitchell and James L. Jordan; two aunts, Peggy Mitchell Mosley and Patricia "Tookie" Mitchell (Jim) Jordan; two cousins who were like sisters to her, Debbie Mitchell (David) Kuhn and Stephanie Mitchell Ellis Ryan; cousins, Brian (Charlotte) Mosley and their sons, Kyle and Jared, Matthew (Andi) Jordan and sons, Drew and Carson, Mitchell (Kristin) Ellis and their children, Layla and Chandler, Jamie Ellis (Jeremy) Johnson and son, Braylon, Brandon Ellis, Emily Kuhn, Jacob Kuhn, Bill W. Mitchell, James F. Mitchell, Stacy Mitchell, and Tracie Wilson; her paternal aunt, Bertha (John) Nehus and their children. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017, at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
