Obituary of James Ferrell

James "Jim Bob" Ferrell Of Davin, WV James Earl "Jim Bob" Ferrell, 76, of Davin, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 23, 2014, from his home, after a long illness. He was born November 5, 1937, at Earling, the son of the late George and Betty Jo Williams Ferrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Williams; and one sister, Margie Ferrell Burton. Jim Bob was a member of Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church. He loved riding his Dukes of Hazzard golf cart and spending time with his family. Jim Bob never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone. Those left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Freda Caldwell of Davin and Naomi Hunt of Mallory; one brother, Butch (Joan) Ferrell of Mallory; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church at Man with Rev. Stephen Hunt and Brother Robert Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be nephews.
