Jean Williams
Of Robinette, WV
Jean Williams, 83, of Robinette, departed this life for her Heavenly home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, leaving from Select Specialty Hospital at Charleston, after a long illness.
She was born on October 31, 1933, at Van, a daughter of the late Clarence Herbert and Georgiann Smith Adkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Williams; two daughters, Kathy Lynn Simpkins and Donna Jean Vest; four sons, Charles Ray Williams, Larry Keith Williams, Timothy Allen Williams, and Robert Lee Williams; two step-sons, Bennie Williams and Powell "Bill" Williams; her son-in-law, Richard Curry; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Sue Williams; one grand-daughter, Mary Williams; and four siblings.
She was a home maker. In her younger years, Jean worked as a cashier at several area businesses. Jean was a Christian who embraced her faith during her latter years. She loved her family with all of her heart especially her grandchildren and her canine fur baby, Muffy. She enjoyed listening to music and watching her favorite TV shows.
Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Susie (Michael) Rogers and Pamela Curry, both of Kistler, Abby (Freddy) Greene of Greenville, and Danny Williams and his fiancé, Tiny, of Robinette; one step-son, Johnny (Sissy) Williams of McAndrews, KY; 20 grandchilden; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; a special friend who Jean thought of as a daughter, Lisa (Glendale) Belcher of Davin and her son, Jamie who was Jean's honorary grandson; three sisters, Doodle Conner, Francis Vincent, and JoAnn McNeely; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
