Audrey Jean Morgan Thompson, 81, of Man passed away on January 16, 2017, surrounded by family at the home of her granddaughter in Madison.
She was born August 15, 1935, the daughter of the late Crussie and Ruth Morgan of Greenville (Hunt). She was a 1953 graduate of Man High School. Prior to graduation, Audrey married the love of her life, Walker "Bunk" Thompson at the Greenville (Hunt) Freewill Baptist Church on July 12, 1952.
Not only being a wife and mother, she wanted to work outside the home after the children got older. Audrey worked as a salesperson at the Man Rite Aid Drug Store and served as post mistress at the Hunt Post Office for many years. Based on her working experiences, her goal was to own a business. She opened a video rental business in Gilbert which she operated for several years. Subsequently, she sold the business so that she and Bunk could enjoy retirement life.
Audrey was a member of the Claypool United Methodist Church. Prior to her illness, she enjoyed spending time at the beach, cooking, reading and crocheting. She and her husband, Bunk, loved to portray Santa and Mrs. Claus at community events, nursing homes, and anywhere else they were invited.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Crussie and Ruth Morgan; her beloved daughter, Sharon Kay (Thompson) (Spears) Tiller; sister, Patricia Morgan Carter; brothers: Bob, Douglas and Dick Morgan and by her father-in-law and mother in-law, Floyd and Mary Thompson.

Thompson of Madison; two grandsons Justin Thompson and his wife Brittney of Louisville, KY and Michael Spears and his wife Meghan of Charleston; and one granddaughter, Kayla Wright of Madison; five great grand-daughters, Sophia Thompson, Rosemary Thompson, Elizabeth Audrey Thompson, Claire Thompson, and Grace Thompson; and two great-grandsons: Patrick Spears and Will Thompson; one brother, Joe Morgan of Wardensville; one aunt, Elizabeth Walker of Olive Hill, KY and brother-in-law and sister in-law, Frank and Elaine Thompson of Scott Depot.
