Obituary of Alice Sue Depta

Alice Sue Depta of Lyburn, WV Alice Sue Depta, 84, of Lyburn, departed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. She was born on May 31, 1932, at Taplin, a daughter of the late George Alexander and Mary Mildred Johnson Jeffries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joe Depta; daughter, Sandra Depta; grand-daughter, Crystal Lusk, and two brothers, James Jeffries and Jackie Thomas Jeffries. Alice was a home maker and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading and working puzzles. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Brenda Lusk of McConnell and Linda (Roger) Evans of Holden; sister, Barbara Campbell of Accoville; brother, Eugene (Frances) Jeffries of Mt. Clemens, MI; several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. John Godby officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services.
