Georgia E. Ferrell
of Man, WV
Georgia E. Ferrell, 62, of Man, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2016, leaving from Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY, after a long illness.
She was born on March 16, 1954, at Logan, a daughter of the late James Willie and Betty Arlene Pennington Endicott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Willie Endicott, Jr.; and her parents-in-law, Wilson, Jr. and Dorothy K. Blevins Ferrell.
Georgia was a 1972 graduate of Man High School. A member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church at Amherstdale, she could often be heard singing at various area churches through her gospel music ministry with the Faith Gospel Singers. Georgia enjoyed sewing and baking and often shared the fruits of her labor with everyone. She loved people, especially her family and her little dog, Biscuit.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 29 years, Jimmy Ferrell; one daughter, Chole Ann (Gregory) Cline of Gainesville, GA; one son, Gary Thompson of Amherstdale; four sisters, Linda (Skip) Martin of GA, Jackie (John) Evans of OH, Nancy (Wayne) Davis of MN, and Pam (Mike) Pawlak of GA; grandchildren, Destiny, Tessa, and Brenton Cline and Damon Thompson; her best friends and singing partners, Cinda (Dan) Baccellieri and Barb (Tennis) Cline; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church at Amherstdale with Rev. Noah Lombardo and Rev. Freddie Clay officiating. Burial will follow in White-Clark Cemetery at Crown.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help with funeral expenses to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market Street, Man, WV 25635.
