Beatrice Powell Jeffrey
of Lorado, WV
Beatrice Marie Powell Jeffrey, 85, of Lorado, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 28, 2016, leaving peacefully in the comfort of her own home.
She was born on January 11, 1931, in the town of Jeffrey in Boone County, a daughter of the late Charles Mathis and Brooke Stollings Powell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 30 years, Bill Earl Jeffrey; her son, Steven Jeffrey; three brothers, Earl, Harold, and Ewell Powell; two sisters, Mae McComas and Eloise Ellis; and very special brothers-in-law, Jack McComas and Ray Ellis.
During her 85 years on this Earth, Bea was a proud homemaker, a rock to her family, a joyful practitioner of her Christian faith, and since 1982, a member of the Bethel Tabernacle at Lorado. Bea was kind, soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She will be dearly missed by ALL of her loved ones, even as they celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Savior.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Stanley Earl (Libby) Jeffrey of Rockview and Gary "Bubby" Blankenship of Lorado; daughters, Kathy Kay Brunty, Marsha (Richard) Vanover, and Robin Jeffrey, all of Lorado. Beatrice was a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, Raichelle Brunty, Olivia Jeffrey, Valeria (B.J.) Trego, Charles (Christine) Jeffrey, Amanda (Josh) Cook, Michael Goode, Tara (Jason) Mills, Jennifer (John) Cain; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother, Charles "Butch" (Marsha) Powell and her church family along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Earl Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Pall bearers will be her great-grandsons and friends.
