Carolyn Sue Hunter
of Neibert, WV
Carolyn Sue Hunter, 71, of Neibert, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the home of her daughter, Le'Anne Sigman, at Birch River, after an extended illness.
She was born on March 27, 1945, at Earling, a daughter of the late Virgil and Mary Polly Jane Carter Ryan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dewey Hunter; one sister, Donna Jean Williams; and one brother, James Allen Ryan.
Carolyn was a retired sales clerk throughout her career she had been employed with Pebbles Department Store, Aracoma Drug Store, and Watson's Department Store, all at Logan. Her passion was her family, she took great pride in her home, husband, and children. Carolyn was a longtime faithful member of the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church at Rita since 1968. She responded to any job or need the church had for her to do. Over the years, she taught Sunday School, sang in the Choir, sang duets with her sister Donna Jean, sang solos, was a member of the ladies aide, and helped with the youth group. She will always be known for her sweet smile, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone.
Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are one daughter, Le'Anne (Andy) Sigman of Birch River; one son, Charles Ryan Hunter of Eugene, OR; two grandchildren, Hannah and Brooke Sigman, both of Birch River; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy Ryan of Madison Creek, Delores and Merlin Spears of Neibert, and Lawrence Williams of Lyburn; and several special nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Alfred "Butch" Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
