Obituary of Deloris Ann Workman

Deloris "Sissy" Workman of Accoville, WV Deloris Ann "Sissy" Workman, 71, of Accoville, left her earthly tabernacle and joined her Savior in Heaven on Saturday, March 5, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 6, 1944, at Accoville, the daughter of the late Chester and Opal Booth Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jason Workman; one brother, Donald Bailey; one sister-in-law, Sandy Bailey; her loving niece, Angie Nelson; her parents-in-law, Falvie and Tessie Workman; and one brother-in-law, Ricky Workman. Sissy was a member of the Landville Freewill Baptist Church for 41 years. She loved her church family, attending church services, reading her Bible especially in the book of Psalms, and singing and working for the Lord. A humble and loving woman, Sissy loved her family with her whole heart. She enjoyed cutting the grass and planting flowers. Those left to cherish her memory and miss her are her husband of 40 years, LeRoy Workman; four brothers, Gordon "Rocky" (Bonnie) Bailey of Beckley, Chester "Jr." (Carmella) Bailey of Accoville, Charles "Bits" (Doralene) Bailey of Bruno, and Michael "Cud" Bailey and his fiancee`, Karen Grimmett of Accoville; two loving sisters, Diana Gibson of Lyburn and Mary Lou (Russell) Nelson of Accoville; one grandson, Jesse Adkins; three step-grandchildren, Elissa, Cameron, and Ethan; two step-great-grandchildren, Hunter and Zack; her brother-in-law, Nicky (Kim) Workman; and a host of other family and friends that love and will miss her. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Landville Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Alfred "Butch" Cobb and Deacon Russell Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church also. Family members will carry Sissy to her final resting place.
