Ruth G. "Neek" Perry
of Accoville, WV
Ruth Gearldine "Neek" Perry, 72, of Accoville, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, leaving from her home, after a short illness.
She was born on April 7, 1943, at Landville, a daughter of the late Rev. Horace Houston and Flora Alice Johnson Daniels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Billy, Johnny, and James Daniels; four sisters, Brenda Bailey, Phyllis Greene, Mary Montgomery, and Nancy Browning; and one sister-in-law, Janet Daniels.
Ruth was a home maker who took great pride in her home and family. She loved animals especially her bunnies and her canine friend, Jackie. Possessing a green thumb, Ruth grew beautiful flower beds. A member of Hunt Baptist Tabernacle, she enjoyed working with the children and youth ministries when she was able.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Jerry D. Perry; one daughter, Sheila (Jimmy) Justice of Accoville; one son, Jim Ed (Lisa Santrock) Perry of Davin; two grandsons, Jimmy Lee (Sara) Justice and John Justice, both of Accoville; one granddaughter, Danielle Perry and her fiancé, Daniel Bowens of Davin; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Justice of Accoville; one step-great-granddaughter, McKenna Bowens of Davin; two sisters, Carol (Richard) Brown of Hunt and Judy (Kenny) Workman of Kistler; three brothers, Harold "Pete" (Jerrie) Daniels and Mike Daniels, both of MI, and Tommy (Marilyn) Crosby of Kistler; brothers-in-law, Roger Montgomery of OH and Bruce Browning of Charles Town; a special young man who she considered as a son, Command Sgt. Major Phillip "Chopper" Cantrell of Arlington, VA; special friend, Gwen Vance of Davin; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Hunt Baptist Tabernacle at Hunt with Rev. Kit Meade and Rev. Donald Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be Jimmy Lee Justice, John Justice, Daniel Bowens, Ken Workman, Kevin Brown, T.J. Hoosier, and Michael Crosby.
