Donald Jason Brown
of Stollings, WV
Donald Jason Brown, 86, of Stollings, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, leaving from his home, after a long illness.
He was born on November 25, 1928, at Cyclone, the son of the late Ashby and Lahla Anne Cook Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Ann Brown Politakis; two sisters, Marie Lusk and Betty Lou Brown; and three brothers, Verlin, Gary, and Paris.
Donald was a member of the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church at Cyclone. A retired construction foreman, he retired from El Paso Corporation. Donald enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Nora Eunice Vance Brown; one daughter, Lura Jean Butcher of South Point, OH; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Garnet Brown of Saulsville and Maxine Martin of New Richmond; one brother, Chelsie (Yoko) Brown of Winston-Salem, NC; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Jackie Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
