Steve Eldridge
of Neibert, WV
Steve Eldridge, 60, of Neibert, departed this life Monday, October 5, 2015, at Logan Regional Medical Center, after a sudden illness.
He was born April 18, 1955, at Welch, the son of the late Raymond Earl and Eloise Maxine Paynter Eldridge.
Steve was a 1973 graduate of Oceana High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A disabled coal miner, he worked for various coal companies and was a member of the UMWA District 17. Steve was a Christian of the Freewill Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Those left to cherish his memory are two children, Steven Earl (Krystal) Eldridge of Roanoke, VA and Jennifer (James) Conn of Man; seven grandchildren, Tionna, Ashleigh, and Krysten Eldridge and Isabella, Audrianna, Jackson, and Parker Conn; one sister, Patricia McKinney of Salem, VA; three brothers, Danny (Debbie) Eldridge of Statesville, NC, Linzie "Butch" (Lucille) Eldridge of NC, and Joseph "Joe" (Debbie) Eldridge of Salem, VA; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to services.
In honor of Steve's wishes his remains have been cremated.
