Margie Marie Stratton
of Accoville, WV
Margie Marie Stratton, 81, of Accoville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 5, 2015, from Trinity Nursing Home at Logan, surrounded by her loving family and wonderful care givers.
She was born November 7, 1933, at Stirrat, the daughter of the late Martin and Myrtle Johnson Eldridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandmother, Lou Johnson; one sister, Helen Collins; one brother, Russel Eldridge; and one step-son, Frankie Stratton.
Margie was a home maker and worked part time for the postal service at Elk Creek.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when needed. Margie enjoyed attending the Man Church of God, reading, and long walks.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Stratton of Accoville; three sons, Richard (Anighta) Stratton of Surveyor, Tim ( Sherri) Stratton of Gilbert, and Donnie (Darlene) Stratton of Accoville; one daughter, Becky (Frank) Shull of Accoville; one step-daughter, Mary Ann Grimmett of Gilbert; one special daughter-in-law and friend, Barbara Stratton of Verner; one brother, Willie Eldridge; 11 grandchildren, Robbie and Stevie Stratton, Michael Grimmett, Canaan, Shalom, and Zack Stratton, Sara Stratton, Erica Boggs, and Jared Stratton, and Jonathan and Jennifer Shull; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Pastor Donald Lafferty and Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
