Donald Gene Prince
of Stowe, WV
Donald Gene Prince, 62, of Stowe, joined his wife in their heavenly home on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, leaving from his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born March 9, 1953, in Logan County, the son of the late William Riley and Delphia Marie Osborne Prince.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Parsley Prince; his grandparents, Andrew and Dovie Prince and May and McKinley Osborne; two sisters, Leslie Prince and Mary Hickman; and three brothers, Billy Prince, James Prince, and Arnold Prince.
Donald was a retired coal miner and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are one daughter, Barbara (Darry) Grimmett of Lundale; two grandchildren, Hunter and Kaitlyn Grimmett; three sisters, Sharon (Rev. Eddie) Isom of Lorado, Dovie (Melvin) Canterbury of Robinette, and Virginia Parnell of Kistler; four brothers, Andrew (Susan) Prince of NC, William (Peggy) Prince of Lundale, Michael (Christine) Prince of Kopperston, and Randall (Barbara) Prince of NC; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Eddie Isom officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Pall bearers will be family.
