It was about a year and a half ago when it happened. I had known my good friend had moved back near his home. Only I knew not where. I was doing a roof for Joe Justice in Mingo and at the end of the day was driving my partner and I back to the Justonian when I looked across a parking lot and seen a familiar silhouette - rear facing at 50 mph nonetheless. I turned around, explained, and pulled in at a distance. Then I yelled "Ralph Kessler"! Fifty yards away Ralph turned to face me. I was just thinking how uncanny it was that I spotted him and he blew me away by yelling my name back seeing even less to identify me at the same distance. Only Ralph. Turns out he was at The Blue Moon" and I was introduced to everyone there and treated to a great couple days. Days I will add the a long list of good times with the "LEGENDARY RALPH KESSLER". He will be missed

I loved Ralph! I had the pleasure of meeting Ralph at The Blue Moon. He was known as "The Best Steak Master" of all time. He always greeted us with a huge smile and a story, or he turned up the juke box and did a sing along. We became friends and loved sharing laughter. Our lodging guests loved him as well and all agreed, he fixed a mean steak. I am going to miss him. May he rest in peace and I wish he could know how much people really cared about him. We all should say it to faces more often. Mayor Vivian Livingood
