Obituary of Ott Toler
Please share a memory of Ott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
In loving memory of Ott "Spot" Toler, 67, of Bruno, who took his heavenly flight on Sunday, April 28, 2024, enveloped by the warmth of his home after a brief illness, and was embraced by the loving arms of Jesus.
Born on October 15, 1956, in Man, Ott was the cherished son of the late Ott and Ruby Toler, Sr., of Verner. He was also held dear as the son-in-law of the late Vaughn and Peggy Browning of Bruno.
Ott, affectionately known as "Spot" to those who knew him best, found immense joy in the company of his beloved wife, Mary L. Toler, and his treasured daughter, Brittney Toler. His devotion to them knew no bounds, as he poured his whole heart into their lives.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Linda, Saundra, and Pat Toler, as well as his brother Kenny Toler.
In addition to his wife and daughter, Ott is survived by cherished memories and the enduring love of his family and friends. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Edy and Tim Martin, Andrea and Larry Copley, and Georgie Browning, a host of nieces and nephews, his sisters Frances and Kathy Toler and Jean Simpson, and one brother, Clarence Toler.
"Spot" lived a life grounded in faith, belonging to the Pentecostal community. He found fulfillment in his work as a retired coal miner and Mac Coal Truck Driver, roles that brought him great satisfaction and purpose. A loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys Football Team, Ott's passion for the sport was unwavering. He also found solace and contentment in the simplicity of the outdoors, finding peace while tending to his garden.
As Ott begins his eternal rest, may his memory continue to bring comfort and solace to those who were touched by his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love. His legacy will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Memorial Service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, at Bruno Church of God, with Rev. Roger Frye officiating.
In honor of Spot’s wishes, his remains have been cremated.
