Sherry Ruth Frye
of Lorado, WV
Sherry Ruth Frye, 69, from Lorado, passed peacefully from this earth on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family. Our Lord and Savior took her into His loving arms to begin her heavenly life.
Sherry loved and cherished her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Betty “Tootsie” Acord; siblings, Larry Acord, Debbie Bellomy, and Terry Acord; and nephew, “Little Sam” Bellomy; and son-in-law, Michael Mann.
Compassionate and caring, Sherry was a nurse at the former Man Appalachian Regional Hospital where her joy was caring for others. It was there that she met Freddy, with whom she shared almost 32 years of marriage and an enduring devotion through sickness and in health. Sherry was a long-standing member of Bethel Tabernacle Church in Lorado, having served as treasurer and Sunday school teacher over the years. Fellowship with her Church family and attending services were two things she held dear to her heart.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Freddy Frye; children, Connie Mann of Lorado, Stephanie (Chris) Justice of Davin, Denita Walker of Louisville, KY, and Alaina Frye of Campbell, OH; grandchildren, Nick Clay of Newport News, VA, Chris (Jordan) Justice of Morgantown, Alison Justice of Winfield, Alexa Walker of Edmonton, KY, and Anna Walker of Louisville, KY; a great-grandson, Briar Justice; and her cherished sister-in-law, Trudy Acord of Winfield; along with many other relatives and friends, all of whom will never forget the love and warmth she brought to their lives. Sherry will be missed beyond measure.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Bethel Tabernacle at Lorado and one hour prior to services on Sunday.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethel Tabernacle with Rev. Pat Kinser officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery in Wayne County.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
