Obituary of Steven Ray Wilbur

Steven Ray Wilbur, 70, of Mallory, departed this life on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Mallory after an extended illness.
He was born on September 16, 1953, at Logan. He was the son of the late Gene Alden and Imogene (Toler) Wilbur.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Gene Alden Wilbur, Jr.
Steve was a 1971 graduate of Man High School, where he was the Drum Major of the Man High School Marching Band and a Man High Stage Band member. After graduation, he attained an associate degree in electronics. He began his working career as an electrician at Belva Coal Company and retired as a Chief Electrician from Argus Coal Company.
He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them, especially his four grand-babies. Steve was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching NASCAR and the WVU Mountaineers. He was Mr. Fix It and could fix almost anything. Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 50 years, Jennifer Sue (Moore) Wilbur; two children, Phillip (Melissa) Wilbur of Princeton and Jessica (Timothy) Gemensky of Irmo, SC; four grandchildren, Juliona Gemensky and Brandon Gemensky, both of Irmo, SC and Ethan Wilbur and Liam Wilbur, both of Princeton; one sister, Tammy (Ray) Stacy of Davin; one brother, David (Diana) Wilbur of Midkiff; several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Sharlene Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
