Obituary of Christy Denise Miller

Christy Denise Miller of Lorado, WV Christy Denise Barker Miller, 47, of Lorado, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, leaving suddenly from Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born December 4, 1975, at Logan, the daughter of Peggy June (Aliff) Barker of Stowe and the late Jerry Lee Barker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ace Lee and Ella Mae (Griffith) Aliff; her paternal grandparents, Basil and Pearl Barker; parents-in-law, Leo “Tommy” Sr. and Wilma Miller; two brothers-in-law, Kevin Lee Miller and Leo Miller, Jr. Christy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She formerly attended Turners Creek Baptist Church at Mocksville, NC until 2005. Christy currently attended Bethel Tabernacle at Lorado. She loved serving God by making holiday food baskets for others and helping anyone with a need. Christy was a 1994 graduate of Man High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club. Those left to cherish her memory are the love of her life for 30 years, her husband, Keith Miller; one daughter, LoriAnne Miller at home; her mother, Peggy (Aliff) Barker of Stowe; two sisters, Diana Aliff Baker and her husband John of Mocksville, NC and Melissa Barker Smith and her husband Ronald “Punkin” of Stowe; a special niece who resided with her and was like a daughter, Tierra Smith and a special great-nephew, Deisel “Nubby or Nubs” Smith; sister-in-law, Sheila Miller of Lorado; brother-in-law, Jamie Miller of Lorado; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Bethel Tabernacle with Rev. Pat Kinser and Rev. Barney Goins officiating. In honor of Christy’s wishes her remains have been cremated.
